Job Summary

As a Senior Accountant in the Consolidations team, you will assist with the consolidation and reporting activities, financial statement analysis including the fluctuation analysis and other consolidation and financial reporting projects. You will rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Familiarity with a variety of financial reporting tools, practices and procedures will be essential to your success


  • Assist in the consolidation close process by preparing journal entries, reviewing business unit G/L transactions and financial statements

  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

  • Review intercompany transactions and related foreign currency exchange calculations

  • Record joint venture equity method accounting and review joint venture financial statements

  • Statutory reporting for domestic and foreign business units

  • Work with the team on flux analysis of related business units

  • Assist the external reporting team with rollforwards, projects and other external reporting requirements

  • Interface with internal and external auditors on related requests and questions

  • Perform various control activities to ensure SOX compliance

  • Assist in ad hoc projects as required

  • Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization as needed

  • Participate in special projects to improve process efficiency and performance

  • Routinely communicating with Supervisors relative to issues and deliverables

Educational Background

Bachelor - Accounting; CPA a plus

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years accounting experience with a strong understanding of US GAAP

  • Demonstrated experience with consolidations and reporting. Global consolidation and foreign currency experience preferred

  • Oracle & Hyperion experience preferred

  • SEC reporting experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of consolidations software (Hyperion Financial Management) and financial systems/processes and controls
